Preparing for Senior Camp


Getting children ready for camp involves a few important steps.


Firstly, talk to your child about the camp location and expectations to help them know what to expect. Discuss the benefits and possibilities this opportunity provides.


Looking at the camp's website can be a useful tool to help your child imagine what it might be like. Additionally, practising basic self-care tasks like dressing, showering, brushing teeth, and keeping track of their things will help them become more independent and support them when they are away from home. This might also include spending a night away from home to help your child get comfortable with being independent and away from their usual environment.


When the time comes, pack together using the list provided by the school, and ensure all belongings are labelled.


If your child Finally, encourage excitement about camp to make them feel confident and eager to go.
